What kind of person is a missionary? How do they get support? What do they do? Why would anyone choose to live in a third world country?
You can get the answers to these questions right here at Crooked Creek Baptist Church during our annual World Missions Conference October 3 thru 10, 2010. There will be four different missionary families participating in our conference this year, and all of them are going to the continent of Africa. They are regular folks like you and I, but they have experienced first hand the power of God working in and through them to minister to the people of Togo, Tanzania, Niger and Burkina Faso.
On Sunday the 3rd, we’ll have two sessions beginning at 10am, followed by the international dinner – great home cooking provided by the people of Crooked Creek! At 6pm, we’ll have our evening service. Then on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings we’ll meet at 7pm. Wednesday will be a special meeting for questions and answers with the missionaries. We’ll finish up on Sunday, the 10th with services at 10am and 6pm.
Enjoy music, presentations from the missionaries about their field and ministry, and preaching from God’s word. You don’t want to miss the flag processional on the morning of the 3rd! We hope you’ll join us and find out what missions is all about!
