What must I do to be saved?

Acknowledge Your Sin (Romans 3:23)

First see yourself a sinner. Sin is tragic and vile. It degrades and destroys. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life."  Cry out like the publican, "God be merciful to me a sinner."

Repent (Acts 3:19)

Second, repent. Because you are truly sorry for your sin and the awful direction it is taking you, turn from it toward Christ. The Bible declares, "Godly sorrow worketh repentance."  Jesus said,  "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

Believe (Romans 10:9

Third, believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Believe that He died for sins not His own, was buried, and rose again.  "The chastisement of our peace was upon Him."  Our sins nailed Him there and "... with His stripes we are healed." "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."

Accept (John 1:12)

Fourth, accept Christ's forgiveness and receive Him personally into your heart by faith.  "But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."

Will you pray?

"Being convinced that I am a sinner and that Christ alone can save me, I now accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and will, by His help, confess Him before men."

Please contact the church if you have prayed this prayer so that we can rejoice with you, provide helpful literature, and become your friends.
